Meteorite Pendant from 1947 Meteorite Fall

Here is a stunning 8g iron meteorite pendant. The meteorite fell on the Sikhote-Alin mountains, in Russia in 1947.

An interesting fact about this meteorite fall is that, unlike a lot of other meteorite falls, this one was observed, i.e. eyewitnesses actually saw the fragments fall. The witnesses saw something brighter than the sun coming towards Earth. Upon the fall it made a deafening sound. Smoke remained in the sky several hours after that!

Studies of Sikhote-Alin meteorites, especially their composition, have shown that they are approximately 1.7 billion years old.

The meteorite is 1.8cm long and weighs 8g! Certificate of authenticity included. A bail is attached to the meteorite. Necklace/lace not included, but any silver, gold or cord necklace can be used.
